Kenneth H. Peters
Chief Executive Officer
As the Chief Executive Officer, Ken provides the direction for EMRT to reach its goals of achieving success through the success of others. Ken joined the company in December 2004. Ken's early work experience involved all stages of product development at a number of startup firms.
Prior to joining EMRT, Ken was a Managing Partner of a Digital Imaging and Embedded Linux professional services firm. Previous to that, he led the growth of the Embedded Engineering Group at Questra Corporation and was an integral part of the predecessor to Smart Service as the manager of the Professional Services Organization. Ken holds degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the State University at Geneseo.
Steven R. Unke
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Steve is responsible for corporate financials and assisting the CEO with direction planning. Steve founded EMRT in Oct 1998 and led the company until the addition of Kenneth Peters. Steve comes to EMRT with national and international experience that includes a history in embedded software and system integration for very large scale products.
Prior to starting EMRT, Steve worked as Site Manager for DOT4 Inc., where he led new business development and guided US based clients in international software integration activities. Steve came to DOT4 from Germany where he worked as an International Software Consultant for Siemens AG (KWU). He supported the European development and installation of Nuclear Power Plant Simulators, and also updated Desalination Plant Simulators in Saudi Arabia. Previously, Steve was a Senior Engineer for Xerox Corp. working on embedded systems and remote monitoring of copying devices. Steve graduated with a degree in Software Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse and did graduate work at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.
Soto Flouris
Director of Business Development
As the Director of Business Development for EMRT, Soto is responsible for driving all sales and marketing activities within the company, as well as managing strategic alliances with key partners. Soto joined EMRT in November of 2007. He comes to EMRT with a broad experience in the Software and Services industries and a strong background in product development and enterprise solutions.
Prior to EMRT, Soto spent over 25 years in management roles both as an entrepreneur running his own successful software company, as well as with multinational firms like StorageTek, Sun Microsystems, LPA Software and Xerox Corporation. He was most recently with AWhere, Inc. of Golden Colorado, a Business Intelligence Software Company, where he was Vice President of Partners and Alliances. He gained extensive experience in remote monitoring by implementing end-to-end Remote Managed Storage solutions while with StorageTek. His experience is complemented by his in-depth understanding of Business Intelligence solutions from his most recent work with AWhere, Inc. He also brings more than fifteen years of experience in Service Performance and Supply Chain planning from his tenure with Xerox and LPA Software. His expertise also includes digital imaging from his work at Intercon and Xerox where he championed text and graphics integration and computer aided translation and developed an end-to-end digital document production and distribution solution.
Soto holds an MBA and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and Associates in Aviation Electronics from the College of Aeronautics.
James P. Cotter
Director of Corporate Development
As Director of Corporate Development, Jim is responsible for creating technical solutions for EMRT's key clients and defining EMRT's technological direction. Jim joined EMRT in June 2005 with the acquisition of CNS Digital Systems where he was President.
Prior, Jim managed research and development teams for Blue Lobster Software and Software AG, overseeing several releases of a successful suite of enterprise integration tools. Jim received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees in Engineering Physics from Cornell University.
